Open a room
Host a conversation or a broadcast with one tap. Aura announces it to the devices around you — and to no one else.
Peer-to-peer voice · No internet required
Aura turns nearby iPhones into a private voice network — encrypted, serverless, instant. No signal? No problem. The air between you is all it needs.
Every call you make takes a detour through a data center. Your voice travels a thousand kilometres to reach someone standing ten metres away — logged, routed, dependent. Aura skips the internet entirely. Device to device. Air to air.
How it works
Host a conversation or a broadcast with one tap. Aura announces it to the devices around you — and to no one else.
Nearby iPhones discover the room over peer-to-peer Wi-Fi. You approve who gets in — signed tokens, not blind trust.
Low-latency Opus audio flows directly between devices. Hosts relay the room, so everyone hears everyone.
Two modes
Conversation
A live mesh for groups — every voice reaches every ear, and the host curates the room. Like a group call, minus the call.
Broadcast
Listeners join with a tap and simply listen. Tour guides, ski instructors, silent stages — speak to the crowd around you.
Privacy
Every frame travelling between devices is encrypted. The only network your voice touches is the one you can see.
HMAC-signed room tokens and host approval decide who is in the room. Cryptography does the bouncing.
Audio is played, never stored. When the room ends, the conversation is gone — everywhere, instantly.
Works where the internet doesn't
